This was a nice blend of a 1958 design that was updated in 1994 having conditions that would match any Country Club I've seen. From #1 Tee box to #18 green, sculptured flowing fairways that were mowed tight with heavy thick rough that had the ball dropping to the roots. Then average size rolling greens (8-9) protected by the many well placed, well-kept sand traps making a carry to the green, very importation to scoring. (3 traps / 1 save)

Both 9's (Front 3,249yd / Back 2,953yd) had a good combination of hardwood trees, doglegs, sand traps to be viewed from the tee box that put pressure on club selection and landing area. Not once did I grab the driver, stand up to the tee box and just swing away. This is the sign of a well thought out layout making you think about each shot.

I shot 41/39 w/32putts on this cool Saturday morning ($39)taking 3hrs for my riding partner and me to smoothly move through this "Side by Side" layout but having a distance/separated feeling between the fairways. Normal colored yardage blocks in the fairways but could have used Par 3 blocks on the 210 & 220 par 3's as they were tough to shoot with the range finder.

Memorable hole would be #5 a 518-yard dogleg with many visual sand traps showing themselves while standing over your 2nd & 3rd shots.

Bottom Line... worth stopping and playing a great conditioned older course that will have you thinking on each shot.

Would travel: 30-60 Miles, Vacation Worthy
